The title of Candyland’s next big release may be a game, but it won’t be a traditional one.
Instead, it will be a platformer, a game that can be played on mobile devices, as well as the web.
The game, Candyland, will debut at E3 next week, and the announcement comes as Nintendo looks to capitalize on the popularity of Candy Crush Saga.
Nintendo’s newest video game title, which debuted last week, was developed by The Order and released on April 9.
A sequel, Candy Crush Worlds, will launch this year.
In a statement to GameSpot, Nintendo of America said it plans to release the title on mobile platforms and “in other digital platforms” next year.
This means Candyland won’t have a traditional release date, but will instead be free to play.
The publisher says it hopes the new title will “help people enjoy the game they love on a wide variety of devices.”
Nintendo will be showing off the game for the first time at E4 2017 in Los Angeles on June 14.
The first major event of E3 2017 will be held on June 15, and it will include the first glimpse at the upcoming Switch console.
The next major event will be the Nintendo Switch Game Show in Tokyo on June 18.
