Gamers will be excited to know that the latest Nintendo 3DS games, the upcoming Zelda games, and the upcoming The Legend of Zelda game have been certified by Electronic Arts as compatible with their latest devices, according to the latest Gamasutra survey.
This includes both console and handheld versions of the games, as well as handhelds running iOS and Android versions of Nintendo’s game streaming app, called Nintendo Cloud.
While this is certainly good news for the casual gamer, who’s been looking forward to getting a new Nintendo 3D TV for the holidays, there’s a caveat to this news.
While some of the newer games may be compatible, it is not confirmed that all games will be able to run on all consoles.
The game streaming service, however, has said that it’s working on an update for the games that will support all of the devices currently on the market.
Gamers should be able the use these titles on their new 3D TVs and the new Nintendo Cloud, but for those who want to be able play the older games without needing a new TV, these are the games you should be looking at.
The Legend of Link, Super Mario 3D World, The Wonderful 101, Zelda: The Wind Waker, and Super Mario Bros. 3 are among the most popular games that use the cloud platform.
While Nintendo Cloud will work on most modern 4K televisions, it will require a device that supports the technology and will not work on older TVs, as they will not be able access the cloud.
