Electronic speedball games (ESG) are the latest gaming trend to grab the attention of fans of the popular arcade game.ESG games allow players to run at high speeds on a single screen, and are usually based on a physics engine or virtual reality (VR) technology.
The newest esport, known as the GRENADES, is currently in the process of getting a game mode that is set to become available later this year.ESGs are the brainchild of German entrepreneur Michael Schmidt, who describes them as a game that allows players to “play as an action game without the need for a full game.”
In GRENADEES, players can play on an action-packed grid that resembles a tennis court, while other players battle against each other on virtual tennis balls.
“The game was created by a small team of five people, with the game being launched in 2017 with a total of four teams competing.
In 2018, the game expanded to seven teams, and in 2019, eight teams competed.”
It’s easy to get lost in the complexity of playing GRENadES, with players moving around in the virtual space, jumping on balls and even using the game’s ability to change its direction on touch screen.””
The feedback from all the teams was really good, so we added the option for eight teams to compete and get a taste of what the future of GRENades will be.”

“There’s a lot of movement and jumping involved in the game,” Schmidt explained.
“But it’s really fun and it’s fun to play.
We’re trying to make it as fast as possible.””
We have a lot more players competing in GRENadees than ever before,” Schmidt continued.
“It’s a really, really great time to be in esports.”ESG tournaments typically take place at esports events, including the upcoming ELEAGUE Major League Gaming (MLG), as well as the 2017 Electronic Sports World Cup.GRENaderes has attracted over 50,000 registered players, with most of them having registered on its site.
It is expected that the game will be available for download sometime in 2019.
Schmidt said that he has “never seen a game in esports that is as popular as GRENadiums.”
“This game has been in development for a long time and I have to say that it’s something I’ve been waiting for since I was a kid,” Schmidt told Crypto Coins.
“I hope to see this game come to fruition and I hope that the community can get a good experience with it.”
While GRENadiEs is set for release later this month, it’s unlikely that it will be the last time we see a GRENadian esport.
In the past, GRENames was used to launch a series of esport titles, including one that ran for three years in 2017.
The GRENaderas esport will be released as a standalone game, with no subscription fees.
Players can earn points and play matches with others on the GRenadem, as well.GRENGADES will also be available to play on mobile devices via the Oculus Rift, which is the most popular gaming headset in the world right now.
