From the developers of ‘The Simpsons’ to the makers of ‘Fruit Ninja’, interactive electronic games have all made a big splash over the past few years.
But what is an electronic game really?
What are the pros and cons?
We spoke to the developers behind the latest creations.

‘Futurama’ ‘FUTURAMA’ by Futurama is an interactive game that was released in 2010.
The game features a character named Futuramas (which is an animated version of a human character) who is trying to keep the world safe from the Planet Nibiru.
He’s aided by his friends Bender and Chell (both voiced by Adam Scott).

‘Mafia’ ‘MADE IN MOLDOVA’ by Mafia is a popular, interactive mobile game which features a detective named Felix the Cat.
Felix is trying the best he can to stop a Mafia-affiliated gang from assassinating his boss, the Mayor.

‘Bastion’ ‘BASTION’ by Bastion is a top-down, tactical turn-based role-playing game that combines turn-puzzles with shooting, exploration, and puzzle-solving.
The main character, the protagonist, is a knight from the fictional city of Bastion, who is fighting to protect the city from the invading armies of the Planet Worm.

‘The Sims’ ‘THE SIMS’ by The Sims is an addictive game that has garnered huge popularity.
The player is a player who has built up a family in their city, who also has a large number of Sims, each of which is a real-life personality.

‘Dynasty Warriors’ ‘DYNASTY WARRIORS’ by Dynasty Warriors is an action-packed game that is based on the classic Dynasty Warriors series.
It’s set in the fictional kingdom of Flandre, and the main characters are the warrior-king, Shiro, and his son Shiro 2.
The gameplay is based around an online battle arena.

‘Halo’ ‘HALO’ by Halo is an online first-person shooter game which was released by Microsoft in 2011.
The title is a first- person shooter which was created by Bungie Studios, a studio based in Redmond, Washington.

‘Sonic Forces’ ‘SINCE THE REVOLUTION’ by Sonic Forces is a strategy-based online game for mobile devices, which was developed by Sega.
The story follows the lives of Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy and Amy Rose as they try to restore peace in Sonic’s hometown of Equestria.

‘CivValkyrie’ ‘CIVValkyrie: Dark Age of Camelot’ by Camelot Online is an upcoming first–person strategy game which is set in Camelot.
Players control a mercenary called Captain Soren and battle against a mysterious group known as the Lords of Cameloth.

‘Firewatch’ ‘FIREWATCH’ by Firewatch is an open-world first- or third-person action-adventure game set in a post-apocalyptic world.
The protagonists, the player characters, are a team of firefighters who have been sent to a remote island to protect a powerful magical artifact from the evil King Arthur.

‘Star Wars Battlefront’ ‘STAR WARS Battlefront II’ by Battlefront 2 is a third- person multiplayer space game developed by EA.
Players can take part in a variety of multiplayer battles across multiple star systems.
It is available for Windows, Mac and Linux.

‘Penguin Tale’ ‘PENGUIN TALE’ by Penguin Tale is an old-fashioned puzzle-platformer that has been around for more than 100 years.
The goal is to collect all of the penguins that are scattered throughout the game.

‘Worms’ ‘WOLVES’ by Worms is a retro-styled, first- and third-player survival-horror game.
It takes place in the world of Worms, where an evil worm has invaded a worm-filled world and the worm-infected humans have been trapped.
The players are a group of scientists who are attempting to discover how to get rid of the infection, and in the process, the humans must fight to survive.

‘Lara Croft: Tomb Raider’ ‘TOMRABLES’ is a game which has been on the Nintendo Switch for a long time.
It was released on April 15, 2017 on Nintendo Switch.
Lara Croft is a Lara Crofian adventurer who will have to survive in a new world, with the help of her friends and allies.
